This article offers a summary of the proceedings of the 1 st General Counsels' Roundtable organized by the Collaboratory for Research on Global Projects at Stanford University in January 2005. The Roundtable brought together lawyers and business executives from different sectors and academics from different disciplines to discuss the legal challenges of private infrastructure projects in emerging markets over the past decade.
