Alexandre de Gramont is a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Crowell & Moring LLP, where he specializes in international arbitration and litigation. Mr. de Gramont has represented companies and governments in disputes arising from transactions in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North and South America, and Africa. He has represented both investors and host States in investment arbitration, as well as a range of companies in international commercial arbitration and litigation. Mr. de Gramont has been involved in arbitrations in fora including ICSID, the ICC, the SCC, and the LCIA, and has also litigated cases throughout the state and federal courts of the United States. He received his law degree from New York University in 1990. In addition to writing and speaking on various legal issues, he is also the editor and translator of a volume of Albert Camus's wartime journalism, entitled Between Hell and Reason: Essays From the Resistance Newspaper Combat, 1944-1947 (University Press of New England).
