Loretta Malintoppi is of counsel in the Paris office and is dual-qualified (Paris and Rome Bars). She specialises in international arbitration and public international law. She acts as counsel and advocate in ICSID, ICC and ad hoc proceedings and also frequently acts as arbitrator in international commercial disputes. Loretta also regularly appears as counsel and advocate before the International Court of Justice and ad hoc international arbitral tribunals in disputes between States.

Loretta is currently one of the vice-presidents of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce ("ICC").

She has co-authored the second edition of Schreuer's The ICSID Convention: A Commentary and has written a number of articles on investment arbitration and State-to-State litigation. Loretta is the managing editor of The Law and Practice of International Courts and Tribunals and series editor of International Litigation in Practice.

Loretta was educated at the University of Rome, and holds a Master of Common Law Studies from Georgetown University Law School. She is fluent in Italian, English, French and Spanish.
