Introduction
On October 26th the 2013 FDI Moot concluded with Harvard Law School edging out Monash University in the final at the FIAC in Frankfurt. The full results can be found at www.fdimoot.org
47 teams participated in the oral hearings in Frankfurt; 49 submitted memorials, but there were two late cancellations. Overall 72 teams registered for this year's competition including the Regionals in Seoul and New Delhi.
Besides thanking the 70+ practitioners and academics who contributed their time as arbitrators in Frankfurt (and more in New Delhi, Seoul and as memorial judges), the organisers would like to thank Sergey Usoskin and his committee for their very nuanced "plain-bottling" beer case, Nima Tabari and his colleagues for their excellent bench brief, the global sponsor Skadden, the local host at the FIAC the Deutsche Institution für Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit and the Frankfurt firms that supported DIS, and those individual and firms who helped some teams financially, through the Thomas Wälde Fund or directly.
The 2014 Global Hearings will take place at Pepperdine University School of Law, 24-26 October 2014, with Regionals in Seoul, New Delhi AND Buenos Aires at the end of August 2014 (schedules at www.fdimoot.org).
