Dr. Enrique Fernández Masiá

Dr. Fernández Masiá is Professor of Private International Law (since 2002), Faculty of Law of Albacete, University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). He teaches subjects about international litigation, international civil law and international commercial law. He is author of various articles about international commercial law, international litigation and various books, specially two on International Investment Law: "Arbitraje en Inversiones Extranjeras: el Procedimiento Arbitral en el CIADI" (Valencia, Tirant lo Blanch, 2004), and recently, "Tribunales nacionales, Arbitraje internacional y protección de inversiones extranjeras" (Madrid, Marcial Pons, 2008).
Moreover, he was the winner of the II Prize of the Basque Court of Arbitration for the promotion of arbitration with the essay "A Complex Relation: Jurisdiction of the Arbitral Tribunals and Investment Treaties" (San Sebastián, Instituto Vasco de Derecho Procesal, 2005). His research activities focus on international contract law, international litigation, international investment law and investor-state arbitration.
