Timur Aitkulov is a partner in the litigation and arbitration practice of the Moscow office of Clifford Chance.
Mr. Aitkulov specialises in international arbitration, cross-border and domestic litigation, regulatory and white-collar issues. He has acted as counsel in Stockholm, London, Moscow and Zurich in a significant number of international arbitrations involving nuclear energy, oil and gas, mining and general commercial matters. He has participated in complex multi-jurisdictional white-collar cases and cross-border litigation. He recently represented Tekhsnabexport in a USD 1 billion arbitration in Stockholm over uranium deliveries, with the final award entirely in the client's favour; Gazprom Export in USD multimillion arbitration and litigation; and a bank syndicate in the first-ever recognition by a Russian court of an English court decision against Yukos, in the amount of USD 480 million. Mr. Aitkulov is a member of the Moscow Bar and an editor of the Stockholm International Arbitration Review.
