Luis Miguel Velarde Saffer's practice focuses on international arbitration.
Luis Miguel has acted as counsel on more than a dozen investment arbitrations and commercial arbitrations (on behalf of both private parties and States) under the main arbitral rules, including ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC and the Arbitration Rules of the Peruvian Chamber of Commerce. His experience spans several industries, including mining, construction, transportation, energy, aeronautics, and port operation.
Luis Miguel is also developing a practice as an international arbitrator.
Luis Miguel has been Professor of Contract Law and Property Law at various universities in Peru, and has published a book titled "Contracts: Theory and Practice. A Comparative Perspective" (2015).
