Dr. Greg Lourie is a German qualified lawyer and an associate with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in Paris. His practice focuses on international arbitration and litigation, in particular investor-state and state-state proceedings. Greg has experience in all aspects of international arbitration under the rules of the major arbitration institutions, including ICSID, PCA, ICC, DIS, VIAC etc.) and also regularly advises clients on non-contentious matters of public international law.
He is a lecturer in public international law at the Europa-Institute of Saarland University and frequently speaks or publishes on issues of international arbitration and public international law.
Greg studied law at the Universities of Mainz and Frankfurt am Main and holds a PhD (Dr. iur, summa cum laude) in public international law from the University of Frankfurt am Main. His prior work experience includes the international arbitration practice of another major American law firm and the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague.
