Among the available alternative dispute resolutions (ADR) such as mediation, conciliation,..., arbitration is by far the most preferable method of dispute settlement and widely used internationally. The statistics on the rise of arbitration as a forum for resolving commercial disputes indicates a remarkable increase in the number of cases filed at numerous arbitration institutions in Asian countries in the last few years.
