Abstract
Although the contributions of neutrals and outside counsel in the mediation process are generally understood in the business dispute resolution community, the potential for key contributions by inside counsel sometimes are overlooked. Inside counsel's role-specific strengths include understanding of business goals, personal association and trust with executives, and industry and technical understanding.
