Dr. Hernán Pérez Loose is one of the founding partners of Coronel & Pérez. He specializes in administrative law, international commerce and investment, and privatizations and concessions. Dr. Pérez obtained his legal degree at the Catholic University of Guayaquil, and later obtained a LL.M in Comparative Law at New York University and a LL.M and S.J.D. at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Dr. Pérez has extensive experience in dealing with complex cases involving both the private and the public sectors. He was Legal Counsel to the President of the Republic of Ecuador from 1982 to 1984, as well as to the Attorney General of Ecuador from 1979 to 1980. In addition, he has taught Constitutional Law and International Civil Procedure at the Catholic University of Guayaquil for many years.
Dr. Pérez has written extensively on constitutional law, and has been one of the leading opinion writers for Ecuador's most important newspaper El Universo, for many years.
