Laurie E. Foster is an independent arbitrator and a member of the AAA and ICDR panels. She was formerly a partner in the New York Office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, LLP and a member of the Firm's International Arbitration and Litigation Practice.

She has acted as lead counsel in numerous international arbitration proceedings before the International Center for Dispute Resolution of the American Arbitration Association, and has also represented clients in domestic AAA arbitrations and in arbitrations before other tribunals. Her arbitration experience includes matters relating to acquisition agreements and purchase price adjustments, insurance arbitration, and admiralty arbitration. Ms. Foster also has extensive experience in post-award litigation.

She has been awarded a Diploma in International Commercial Litigation and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration. Ms. Foster is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law (J.D. 1977) and Vassar College (B.A. 1970).
