Laurie E. Foster is a Partner in the New York Office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, LLP and a member of the Firm's International Arbitration and Litigation Practice. The International Arbitration practice is an important part of the Firm's team of more than 600 litigators worldwide. Ms. Foster's practice focuses on complex commercial arbitration and litigation in a broad range of substantive areas.
She has acted as lead counsel in numerous international arbitration proceedings before the International Center for Dispute Resolution of the American Arbitration Association, and has also represented clients in domestic AAA arbitrations and in arbitrations before other tribunals. Her arbitration experience includes matters relating to acquisition agreements and purchase price adjustments, insurance arbitration, and admiralty arbitration. Ms. Foster also has extensive experience in post-award litigation.
She has been awarded a Diploma in International Commercial Litigation and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration. Ms. Foster is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law (J.D. 1977) and Vassar College (B.A. 1970).
