Arno E. GILDEMEISTER is a member of the International Arbitration Practice at the Paris office of Shearman & Sterling LLP.
Arno E. GILDEMEISTER has been a member of the German Bar since 2006 (Freiburg) and was registered at the French Bar in 2007 (Paris). He practiced as a lawyer in Franco-German business relations for two years with the Franco-German law firm Epp, Gebauer & Kühl in Strasbourg. He has gained broad experience in the fields of international commercial, financial and investment law through numerous work placements (including the OECD Centre for Tax Policy and Administration / Boston College Law School, the German Ministry of Finance, the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Estonia, Simmons & Simmons Paris, CMS Hasche Berlin, Siemens UK and Siemens Argentina).
Arno E. GILDEMEISTER studied German law and French law at the universities of Potsdam and Paris X - Nanterre and specialized in the fields of international arbitration, tax and corporate law. Currently, he is preparing his Ph.D. thesis at the universities of Münster and Paris-Est on tax matters in international investment arbitration (with Professors Gerald MÄSCH and Emmanuel GAILLARD).
