Ilias Bantekas is Professor of Transnational Law at Hamad bin Khalifa University (Qatar Foundation), College of Law and Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University, Edmund E Walsh School of Foreign Service. He serves as consultant to several international organisations and is regularly appointed arbitrator in international commercial disputes. He has written close to 170 articles and 17 books. Key books include: International Human Rights Law and Practice (3rd ed Cambridge UP 2020, with L Oette); Introduction to International Arbitration (Cambridge UP 2015); International Law (4th ed Oxford UP 2019, with E Papastavridis); Sovereign Debt and Human Rights (Oxford UP, 2018, with C Lumina); Commentary on the UN Disabilities Convention (Oxford UP, 2018, with MA Stein and D Anastasiou); International Criminal Law (4th ed, Hart 2010); Islamic Contract Law (Oxford UP, 2022, with I Ullah, U Oseni, J Ercanbrack).
