Markus specializes in international economic law with a focus on the protection of foreign investments through Bilateral Investment Treaties. After having written his PhD on a comparative analysis of indirect expropriation in national and international jurisdictions, Markus regularly publishes and lectures on various topics of investment arbitration. In addition to this academic background, he also has practical experience in international investment law both from the public and the private perspective.
