Charlotte Knapper is a senior associate in Norton Rose's Maritime, Trade and Energy dispute resolution group. Charlotte has wide ranging dispute resolution experience which includes arbitrations, expert determinations, High Court and Court of Appeal cases. Charlotte's experience covers a variety of disputes, encompassing energy and natural resources, commodities, shipping and international trade. Her arbitration experience includes investment treaty disputes.
Charlotte recently managed a successful case for her clients in the Court of Appeal, relating to the enforcement of an international arbitration award. A claim of state immunity by the other party was rejected by the Court.
Charlotte read law at Newcastle University and joined Norton Rose's office as a trainee in 1998. She qualified into the dispute resolution department in 2000 after her two-year training contract (during which she worked for six months in Norton Rose's Piraeus office).
