Michele Giannino is an Italian qualified lawyer and legal officer at GianninoSI where he advises on civil law and company law matters. After graduating in law at the University of Cagliari (Italy), he obtained a LL.M. in European Trade Law from the University of Leicester (UK) and successfully completed a Ph.D. on Competition Law at the Queen Mary of University of London (UK). He also obtained the Diploma in International Trust Management from STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Professional). He is an active independent researcher, having authored several scholarly papers on competition law, EU State aid law and IP law published on peer-reviewed journals. Michele is also a national correspondent of the Institute of Competition Law for which he summarises and prepares a note on the latest developments on Italian and EU competition law.
