Hernando Diaz-Candia received an LLM from Harvard Law School as a Fulbright Scholar, and subsequently a science doctorate degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela. He is authorized to practice law in Venezuela and in the State of New York and is a member of the roster of neutral arbitrators of the Arbitration Center of the Cámara de Caracas and the Centro Empresarial de Conciliación y Arbitraje (Cedca), and is a partner with the law firm of WDA legal. He has been appointed as arbitrator in multiple cases; and frequently serves as party advocate in international arbitration. He concentrates his practice in international and domestic ADR and complex corporate transactions.
He recently published an arbitration book: "El correcto funcionamiento expansivo del arbitraje" (Aranzadi Thomson Reuters; Spain, 2011).
