Cesar Giovanni Chaparro Rincon is Attorney-at-law (LLB equivalent) from National University of Colombia and was awarded with the Colfuturo scholarship to pursue his LL.M studies in International Economic Law at the University of Warwick (UK) (2010). Prior to obtaining his LL.M degree, he earned a Specialization in Tax Law from the University of Rosario and in Legal and Political Institutions, and other in Public Law from National University of Colombia.
Apart from a wide professional experience in Law which made him qualify for the post as Judge for the Administrative Jurisdiction of his country, he currently works as an attorney adviser for the Attorney General's Office and as Assistant Professor at the Jurisprudence Faculty of the University of Rosario (Colombia).
His professional and academic interests are focused on the rapidly evolving area of WTO law, the international law of foreign investment and international arbitration. His current research project deals with the challenges and risks of international arbitration for Latin American countries due to their increased participation in global commerce and foreign investment.
