Andreas Frischknecht is a partner with the boutique dispute resolution firm of Chaffetz Lindsey LLP in New York, where he focuses on transnational litigation and international arbitration. Prior to joining Chaffetz Lindsey, Mr. Frischknecht was an associate in the New York office of Clifford Chance.
Mr. Frischknecht regularly represents clients in transnational disputes in the state and federal courts in New York and elsewhere in the U.S., with an emphasis on complex commercial contract disputes, securities actions and cases involving foreign sovereigns. He has acted as counsel in several international arbitrations, including under the NAI and SIAC rules.
Originally Swiss-trained, Mr. Frischknecht obtained his law degree magna cum laude from the University of Bern in 1998 and was admitted to the Bar in Bern, Switzerland in 2001 (currently inactive). He has an LL.M. from New York University Law School and was admitted to the New York Bar in 2003. Mr. Frischknecht is a bilingual English and German speaker.
