Vera Schmidt obtained her law degree from the University of Zurich in 1995 and served as court clerk and as chairman of the Joint Rental Dispute Mediation Authority at the District Court in Meilen, Switzerland from 1995 to 1998. Since having been admitted to the Zurich Bar in 1999, she has been with Umbricht Attorneys (as a Partner since 2009), interrupted by an academic year to obtain an LL.M. degree in the U.S. (New York University School of Law, 2002).
