Josef Ostřanský is a policy advisor for the Investment team at IISD in the Economic Law and Policy Program.

His primary focus of research is international investment law and international dispute settlement. Before joining IISD, he worked in academia and private practice.

Education:

• LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS), Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, University of Geneva (Hans Wilsdorf Scholar)
• Master's in Law (Mgr.), Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic
• Ph.D. in International Law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva, Switzerland.
