Dr. Shi Xianming is now an associate professor of law at Law School of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, PRC. He is also a registered lawyer in China and a council member of China International Private Law Society.
Dr. Shi Xianming got a bachelor's degree of English literature at Sichuan International Studies University in 1991, a master's degree of jurisprudence at Southwest University of Political Science and Law in 2002, and a doctor's degree of international law at Southwest University of Political Science and Law in 2007. He was an academic visitor at Faculty of Law of the University of Oxford from May, 2010 to May, 2011, conducting comparative researches on Chinese and English arbitration laws.
Dr. Shi Xianming has a wide range of academic research interest, including legal methodology, international business law, international private law and international commercial arbitration. He is especially interested in international commercial arbitration, having published more than 20 articles on this subject in Chinese periodicals.
