Mr Jawad Ahmad is a qualified Attorney in the State of New York (2013).
From September to December 2012, Mr Ahmad worked as a Trainee Lawyer at Michael Hwang Chambers where he assisted tribunals on eight complex commercial and investment arbitrations (ICC, SIAC, Swiss Chambers' Arbitration Institution, ad hoc and ICSID). From January to March 2012, he worked as an intern at the International Bureau of the Permanent Court of Arbitration where he assisted Legal Counsel on state-to-state and investor-State arbitrations. He has also completed a number of placements at law firms in London and volunteered at a human rights organization in Cape Town.
Mr Ahmad graduated with an LL.M. from UC Berkeley School of Law in 2011. He obtained his LL.B. in European Legal Studies from the University of Kent in 2009 where he graduated with First Class Honors. He spent one year on ERASMUS Exchange at the University of Copenhagen from 2007 to 2008.
His native language is Urdu and he is fluent in English and Danish. He is proficient in Swedish and Norwegian and basic in French.
