Dr. Jan Asmus Bischoff serves as inhouse counsel at the privately-owned bank M.M.Warburg & CO in Hamburg. He is admitted to the Bar in Hamburg. Before joining M.M.Warburg & CO, we worked at attorney in the field of investment arbitration and shipping law.
After obtaining his first legal degree from the University of Hamburg in 2005, he worked for four years as a researcher at the Max Planck Insitute for Comparative and International Private Law, Hamburg In 2008, he recevied his LL.M. degree as Hauser Scholar from New York University, School of Law. From 2008 to 2010, he did his mandatory practical legal training ("Referendariat") at the Hamburg Higher Regional Court. In 2010, he completed his Ph.D. thesis.
Jan Bischoff regularly publishes articles on international law and European law.
