Profile
Andrea Memovic is a rising second-year law student at the University of Houston Law Center. Originally from Sarajevo, Bosnia, she moved to the States with her family when she was in first grade. They have lived in the suburbs of Houston, Texas ever since. She attended the University of Texas at Austin where she received the Bernard and Audre Rapoport Service Scholarship, which required her to serve 200 hours of community service each summer during her undergraduate education. Through her membership in the Rapoport Scholars Program she started the first annual Volley Classic Benefitting St. Jude Children's Hospital which raised $4,900 its first year, $6,500 the second year, and $11,000 its third year. While at UT Austin, she majored in Government and received her certification in Business through the McCombs School of Business Foundations Program. After graduating, she worked at Wright and Greenhill, a personal injury law firm in Austin for 9 months before moving back to Houston. She hopes to focus on transactional law and has a budding interest in mergers and acquisitions. She would love to live and work abroad, but also loves Houston and would not mind settling down in Texas while traveling often for her job and recreationally. Outside of the law, she plays basketball and loves watching sports, cooking, traveling, hanging out with friends and family, and do it yourself projects.
