She focuses her practice on international dispute resolution and complex arbitration and has appeared as counsel in cases under key arbitration rules as well as before ad hoc tribunals in Europe, North America, South America and Asia.
The main industry groups in which Courtney appears are: energy, oil and gas, construction, and industrial engineering. She also has experience with post-M&A disputes, joint ventures, trademarks and licensing.
Courtney obtained her JD cum laude from Pace University School of Law where she was the CISG Book Editor of the Pace International Law Review, a research assistant, and member of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot court team. She received her BA with highest distinction from Franklin College Switzerland.
Courtney is admitted to practice before state and federal courts in Virginia, and is a member of the Virginia Bar Association.
