Dr. Omar M.H. Aljazy
Profile
Dr. Omar Aljazy holds a PhD in International Commercial Arbitration Law from the University of Kent, an LLM in International and Comparative Business Law from London Guildhall University, and an LLB from the University of Jordan.
He is an international lawyer specializing in arbitration, intellectual property, shipping and maritime, competition and antitrust. He is a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration at the International Court of Justice, the International Chamber of Commerce Commission on Arbitration, and headed the Founding Committee of Arbitration and Mediation Centre for Intellectual Property Disputes in Jordan. He served as the Jordanian representative to the UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) for seven years.
Dr. Aljazy is noted for his expert knowledge and lectures at academic institutions in Jordan and participates in conducting professional training courses. He is the President of the Jordanian Arbitrator's Association, is on the Board of Trustees of the National Centre for Human Rights and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Amman Arab University.
