Colin is an associate in the Tokyo dispute resolution team. Before joining Herbert Smith Freehills, he gained experience at a leading Canadian law firm working on litigation, corporate, energy, and securities matters. Colin has previously advised both Japanese and international clients on a variety of matters including energy and construction disputes, securities litigation, multi-jurisdictional commercial contract disputes, investment treaty claims, and international sanctions. Colin qualified in 2012 as a barrister and solicitor in the Province of Alberta (Canada). Colin is an adjunct lecturer at Keio University in Japan and speaks Japanese.
