Dr. Peng Wang is an Associate Professor at School of Law, Xi'an Jiaotong University, P. R. China, and was a Silk Road Visiting Scholar at Cambridge University Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, UK and an intern at Energy Charter Secretariat, Brussels Belgium.
Dr. Wang is a regular speaker at both domestic and international conferences, including The Ninth Annual Junior Faculty Forum for International Law (Beijing, virtual, 2020), The 8th China-Korea International Economic Law Symposium (Hangzhou, 2019), Roundtable Discussion on Modernisation of the Energy Charter Treaty (Beijing, 2018), Asian Society of International Law (Seoul, 2017), Regulation of Energy Investment Along Belt and Road (Hong Kong, 2017), 4th Annual Conference of Cambridge Journal of International and Comparative Law (Cambridge, 2015), 4th Biennial Global Conference of Society of International Economic Law (Bern, 2014), Political Economy of International Investment Agreements (Bonn, 2014). He has authored two books (in Chinese) and several papers in academic journals, including ICSID Review, Journal of World Investment and Trade, The Journal of World Energy Law & Business, Ocean Development and International Law, Polish Yearbook of International Law, Chinese Journal of Comparative Law, Transnational Dispute Management, etc.
Dr. Wang's current research interests cover international investment law, international law and international relations, and China's energy law and policy.
