Pieter Jan Kuijper is honorary Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Amsterdam (UvA), where between 2007 and 2014 he held the chair of the Law of International Organizations. Prior to his appointment at the UvA, he was principal Legal Advisor and Director of the 'External Relations and International Trade' team of the Legal Service of the European Commission (2002-2007). He also was Director of the Legal Affairs Division of the WTO Secretariat (1999-2002). He is editor-in-chief of Legal Issues of Economic Integration and an editor of the Journal of International Economic Law.
