Mohammed Babangida Umar is the founder and Principal Partner, Capital Chambers, Suite B2/3, Ibro Hotel, Michael Okpara Street, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja. Before establishing the law firm in 1995, Mr. Umar was a pioneer legal officer with the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation, Abuja (1989 - 1994). He was also a lecturer on the Law of Contract, Commercial Law, Law of Torts, and the Nigerian Legal System at the College of Law, University of Abuja (1994 - 1998). Mr. Umar has also been involved in a number of National and International Assignments. He was, for instance, a member of the Presidential Committee on the review of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999; delegate, Presidential Retreat on Electoral Process and Violence; Member Committee of experts on the review of the constitution of African Rural and Agricultural Finance Association, (AFRACA), Nairobi, Kenya; Member International Observer Team to the Parliamentary Election in the Republic of SaoTome and Principe.
