Nuno Ferreira Lousa

Nuno Lousa is Partner and Head of the Dispute Resolution department in Portugal and a member of the Linklaters international arbitration group. Nuno regularly acts as counsel and arbitrator in international and domestic arbitrations in cases related with shareholders' agreements, construction contracts and PPP contracts. Nuno is the chairman of the Anti-Corruption and Corporate Responsibility Committee of ICC Portugal. Nuno has experience in arbitration matters involving Mozambique and Angola.
Nuno is a Visiting Associate Professor of Post-Graduate Studies in Arbitration at the University Nova of Lisbon since 2008. He is a member of the board of the Portuguese Arbitration Association and integrates the list of arbitrators of the Arbitration Centre of the Lisbon Commercial Association, the Spanish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and of the Sports Arbitration Tribunal.
Nuno Lousa is author of several publications such as "The growing importance of arbitration in Portugal" (2016); "Production of evidence in International arbitration; the document production requests" (2014); "Investing in Africa: the arbitration angle" (2013); "The choice of arbitrators, the most important decision of the parties in an arbitration?"
