An English law qualified Solicitor Advocate, Simon acts in both investor-State and international commercial arbitrations, with a focus on disputes in the oil and gas, renewable, and TMT sectors.
Simon's recent engagements include representing an oil major in a dispute with a Southeast Asian State concerning adverse taxation measures, and acting for a Middle Eastern State in relation to a dispute arising from a long-term infrastructure contract. This is representative of the geographic breadth of Simon's experience, as well as his particular expertise in disputes involving States or State entities.
Simon has been recognised as a Euromoney Expert Guides' "Rising Star" for commercial arbitration. He publishes regularly, including in Arbitration International and Transnational Dispute Management, and is a visiting lecturer at the London School of Economics.
