Rama Panford-Walsh

Rama Panford-Walsh is a recent graduate of the University of Ottawa's Common Law Section. Prior to studying law, Rama worked as a molecular biologist in both academia and industry, incorporating computer programming, statistical analysis and data visualization into her research. In law school, she developed an interest in the application of big data methodologies to the analysis of legal issues, particularly in the areas of intellectual property and international trade. She is currently completing her articles with a prominent Canadian law firm, focussing primarily on Intellectual Property litigation. Rama holds a JD in Common Law from the University of Ottawa and a PhD in Biology from the Eberhard-Karls Universität in Tübingen, Germany.
