René Gayle is an Attorney-at-Law and Legal Consultant with the Inter-American Development Bank.
She is a member of the Jamaica Bar Association and sits on its Commercial Law, Law Reform and ADR Committees. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
René holds a Masters in International & Comparative Dispute Resolution (with a focus on international investment law and arbitration as well as international trade law) from the School of International Arbitration at Queen Mary, University of London.
While in London, she also gained experience in international arbitration and dispute resolution in the London offices of WilmerHale LLP and K&L Gates LLP.
She has served as a Group General Counsel in the financial services industry, as an Associate at Jamaica's largest and leading law firm and is now the Lead Consultant at beyondLegal, serving in the areas of international arbitration, general commercial law, data protection and fintech regulation. She also has specialized knowledge in banking and finance and international law and notable transactional experience in M&As, project and corporate finance.
