Dr. Andrea Trimarchi

Andrea Trimarchi is currently a legal adviser and research assistant at the University of Cologne where he teaches air law and international law. He holds a Ph.D. (summa cum laude) in aviation law from the University of Cologne and an (Adv.) LL.M. in air & space law (cum laude) from Leiden University. He graduated in law (LL.M.) in 2014 from the University of Roma Tre (Italy). Andrea is the author of numerous scientific contributions in the areas of aviation law, space law, international law and competition law. His most notable publications being the monograph 'Fundamentals of International Aviation Law and Policy' (Routledge 2020) and 'Aviation Labour Law: Current and Future Perspectives under International and European Law' (Routledge, exp. 2021/2022). Andrea is often invited as speaker at international conferences relating to aviation law and policy and he regularly delivers university lectures worldwide.
