Anna-Maria Tamminen is a Partner at Hannes Snellman, a Nordic business law firm, working out of the firm's Finnish and Swedish offices as counsel and arbitrator. She has more than 15 years of experience in international arbitration proceedings from both civil and common law jurisdictions, having worked at law firms in Austria, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Finland. Her experience spans cases in general commercial law, international sales, post M&A, competition law, international investment, energy, pharmaceuticals and telecoms. She has acted as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and president of arbitral tribunals in over 20 cases and under a variety of arbitration rules. Anna-Maria regularly litigates competition law or arbitration related cases before the Finnish and Swedish courts. She also has experience of ECJ proceedings. Anna-Maria holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Turku, Finland as well as an LL.M. from New York University. She is currently a member of the ICC Court representing Finland as well as the Board of the Swedish Arbitration Association.
