Earvin obtained his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the De La Salle University Manila, and his bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from the University of the Philippines Diliman. He also completed his public and private international law certificates from the Hague Academy of International Law.

Earvin is listed as a trained arbitrator at the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc., and is also a member (MCIArb) of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
