Irene D. Valones is a Court Attorney of the Supreme Court of the Philippines, a Doctor in Public Administration, a Senior Doctor Fellow of the Royal Institute of Singapore, and a Professor of International Law at Arellano University School of Law and Tomas Claudio College of Law. She obtained her Master of Law (LLM) degree in Transnational Law (with Merit) from King's College London Dickson Poon School of Law through the UK Chevening Scholarship. Irene D. Valones is a Doctor of Civil Law (DCL) Candidate at the Royal Pontifical University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, and will graduate in June 2023. She serves as Assistant Vice President, International Initiatives, Programs Committee of the Philippine Institute of Arbitrators ("PIArb").
She is currently the Co-Chairperson of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators - Young Members Group (YMG) Philippines. Irene’s concept on B.I.K.E Climate Change was presented in the 2016 Global Chevening Ambition in Birmingham, UK. In 2021, Irene Valones was awarded with the United Kingdom HMG Scholar for the policy proposal on Climate Change goals Collaboration for the United Nations Conference of the Parties 26 (UN COP 26) representing the wider Asia.
