Heidi Yildiz is a dual-qualified English Barrister and Finnish Attorney practising international arbitration and commercial litigation at 36 Stone, the 36 Group Barristers' Chambers, in London. Heidi is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and is also developing practice as an arbitrator. Before coming to the English Bar, she practised as a solicitor for more than 12 years.
Heidi has more than 15 years of experience as a counsel in complex and high-value international arbitration disputes, both of a private and public law nature. She has represented a broad range of clients across a range of different industry sectors in arbitrations conducted under the ICC, LCIA, DIS, FAI, UNCITRAL and PCA Rules as well as in ad hoc arbitrations, governed by a variety of substantive and procedural laws. Prior to joining 36 Stone, Heidi practised international arbitration at Dittmar & Indrenius in Helsinki and prior to that at WilmerHale in London.
Heidi has been included in the Legal500 Arbitration Powerlist UK 2022 and 2023 amongst the leading International Arbitration Counsels in the UK. Who's Who Legal Arbitration has since 2018 also recognised Heidi as one of the World's future arbitration leaders in the non-partner category. She has obtained LLB with honours from City University, London, a postgraduate diploma in legal practice (LPC) from BPP Law School, London and LLM in International Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary University of London.
