Mohannad A. El Murtadi Suleiman is a Partner at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, and a member of the Firm's International Arbitration Group. He is a member of the Libyan, New York, District of Columbia, and the United States Supreme Court Bars. Mohannad has extensive experience representing clients in global disputes. He has acted as counsel for states, national oil companies, state-owned and commercial entities, and sovereign wealth funds in arbitrations under multiple rules in a wide variety of sectors, including construction and infrastructure, natural resources, oil and gas, and transportation. In addition, he has been involved in numerous enforcement and other local proceedings arising from international arbitrations and has advised governments and state entities on enforcement actions.
Mohannad's expertise extends beyond contentious matters. He has represented clients in joint venture and corporate governance matters and in oil and gas transactions involving major international oil companies. Mohannad has also advised clients on criminal and civil investigations and proceedings and in asset search and recovery.
The matters he has been involved in include jurisdictions such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Venezuela, Norway, Switzerland, France, Italy, India, the United States, and the United Kingdom. And he has also been involved in numerous proceedings in Africa and has advised African governments in connection with dispute management and resolution.
