Profile

Khan Khalid Adnan is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), a Barrister in England and Wales, and an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He is also a national member and mediator of Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC). Currently, he serves as the Head of the Chamber at Khan Saifur Rahman & Associates. He completed his LLB (Hons) from University of London with a 1st class, and his LLM in Litigation and Dispute Resolution from UCL with a distinction.

His areas of expertise include commercial and investment arbitration, public international law, real estate law, criminal law, judicial review, tort law, banking and corporate law. Mr Adnan is also the Vice Principal of Newcastle Law Academy (West), a recognised teaching centre of University of London. He has been relentlessly working on a pro bono basis for developing tort laws in Bangladesh, and also for the preservation of Asian Elephants. In November 2021, he obtained a remarkable Court order directing immediate action to stop the then ongoing unlawful elephant killings in Bangladesh. He was recognised as the Bangladesh's Top 50 lawyers by Asia Business Law Journal for the year 2022.
