Yağmur Gündoğdu recently completed her legal traineeship at a leading law firm in Istanbul, where she gained substantial experience in commercial law, M&A, banking and finance, and capital markets. She has assisted domestic and multinational companies in navigating cross-border and local transactions across a range of sectors such as energy, manufacturing, aviation, insurance, pharmaceuticals, and financial services. Ms. Gündoğdu also advises clients on the evolving legal frameworks related to cryptoassets, ensuring regulatory compliance.

In parallel with her professional career, Ms. Gündoğdu conducts independent research focused on contemporary issues in arbitration. Her work primarily examines the intersection of international investment law, treaty arbitration and climate change, with the goal of advancing the discourse on how the current legal framework can be leveraged to promote climate action and facilitate the global energy transition.

Ms. Gündoğdu holds an LL.B. from Bilkent University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She furthered her studies as an exchange student at Université de Strasbourg. Currently, she is a registered trainee lawyer with the Istanbul Bar Association, pending full qualification. She is a native Turkish speaker and has full professional proficiency in English and French.
