Professor Rachel Cahill-O'Callaghan

Rachel Cahill-O'Callaghan is a Professor at Cardiff University. She holds a PhD in Law and a PhD in Science and her legal research sits at the interface of law and psychology. Her research examines decision making in a variety of legal contexts, with a focus on structural change to improve decision making quality. Her work has won several prizes and her book 'Values in the Supreme Court: Decisions, Division and Diversity' (2020) was shortlisted for the Birks Prize for Outstanding Legal Scholarship (2021). Her current research builds on this work to understand how structural change can limit unacceptable cognitive bias.
