Wooseok Shin is a New York-qualified attorney currently practicing in the international arbitration group of a leading global law firm based in Singapore. His practice focuses on complex investor-State dispute settlement (ISDS) proceedings, as well as high-value international commercial arbitrations involving private entities.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Shin served as a Research Associate at the Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy, affiliated with the Yong Pung How School of Law, Singapore Management University, where he was engaged in indepth research concerning the implementation of the Singapore Convention on Mediation and the dispute resolution in the Belt and Road Initiative. Mr. Shin holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a Bachelor of Business and Economics from Tsinghua University, China. He also earned an advanced Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Arbitration from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law as a JAMS Scholar, fully funded by the JAMS Weinstein foundation. He is fluent in Korean, Chinese, and English.
