Profile

Ronald Kaddu is a Lecturer at Kyambogo University - a Public University located in Kampala, Uganda-East Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University, a Master of Public Services Management from Brunel University (UK) and is currently a PhD aspirant at Makerere University. His doctoral research investigates civic competence and political participation under a decentralised framework of governance in Uganda. He undertakes research and teaching in the field of Political Science with a bias in Politics and Governance, focusing on how the use of state power has impacted the socio-economic terrain of the Ugandan society in particular. His research interests are underpinned by the desire to appreciate the role of politics in governance, by attempting to propose solutions and generate new ideas on how the state can effectively formulate and implement sound socio-economic policies with respect to citizens and state institutions.
