Shiv Nediyara Salil holds an LL.M. in Transnational Law from the University of Bremen. He is currently an Intern under Phoebe Suen, Legal Officer at UNIDROIT, Rome, where he works on law and technology, focusing on the regulation of digital risks through civil liability. His work contributes to the drafting of principles on liability for digital risk and their accompanying commentary within a broader private law harmonisation project. His academic and professional interests lie in international arbitration, digital assets, and the interface between smart contract law and transnational dispute resolution. His research examines the doctrinal and practical challenges of integrating blockchain-based agreements into global legal systems, with particular emphasis on arbitration and cross-border enforcement. Prior to his postgraduate studies, he practised as a Legal Associate in India, specialising in civil, commercial, and arbitration matters before the High Court of Delhi. His combined litigation experience and academic research inform a practice-oriented approach to legal innovation, regulatory development, and effective cross-border dispute resolution in technology-driven contexts.
