Jasmine Landau is a passionate litigator with a multi-jurisdictional practice that focuses on domestic and international litigation, insolvency and restructuring matters. She regularly handles complex commercial appeals, mediations, international arbitrations and cross-border proceedings. Given her experience working with a wide array of stakeholders, including startups, shareholders, financial sector and government institutions, and transnational corporations, Jasmine knows how to distill detailed, technical subjects and provide clear explanations to audiences at all levels. She has written and presented academic papers on international dispute resolution (with a focus on China), cyber warfare insurance coverage, and arbitration provisions in cryptocurrency exchange user agreements.
Prior to joining McMillan, Jasmine worked for two separate large international law firms in both onshore and offshore commercial dispute resolution, as well as a Toronto trial litigation boutique where she honed her litigation and advocacy skills. Having lived and worked in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and most recently the Cayman Islands, Jasmine taps into her experiences abroad to offer clients unique insights into dispute resolution and risk management for specialized areas such as international commercial arbitration, offshore insolvency, foreign recognition and enforcement measures, data breaches and cyber security, and cryptocurrency and digital assets disputes.
