Elizabeth (Lizzie) Chan is an independent legal consultant and international disputes lawyer admitted in Hong Kong, England and Wales, New York, and New Zealand. She holds an LLM from Yale Law School, where she was a Fulbright Scholar.
She has practised at leading international arbitration firms including Three Crowns LLP (London), Allen & Overy (Hong Kong), and Stevenson Wong & Co (Hong Kong), acting as counsel in arbitrations under the HKIAC, LCIA, ICC, AAA-ICDR, and ICSID rules, representing sovereigns, financial institutions, multinational corporations, and individual claimants across a range of commercial and investment disputes.
Elizabeth has a particular interest in the intersection of technology and dispute resolution. She contributed to the world's first AI guidelines for arbitration, published by the Silicon Valley Arbitration and Mediation Center in 2024, and has published in the American Review of International Arbitration. She is trilingual in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
